The Prohab Helmet Society is a non-profit incorporation dedicated to promoting and providing helmets to cyclists who are not wearing them. They encourage safety and strive to break down any image barriers associated with the use of bike helmets and protective gear. Prohab had raised money by a show with some local bands and DJs to buy helmets and give away. As of mid October 2010, they have provided over 160 helmets to active cyclists in and around Vancouver, BC.
As a fund raising activity, The 2011 Ladies Bike Calendar will be released on November 5th, 2010. It is a collaboration of local artists and photographers, featuring active cyclist women in Vancouver, riding and posing with their bikes. Pre-orders are live now!
